Lulu's in the Fluff Glamour Wash is green, diaper-friendly, and comes in 3 great scents or unscented, and a hard water formula.
I have always used a cloth diaper-friendly detergent to avoid buildup on my diapers, but I just found a new level of clean. Lulu, of Lulu’s in the Fluff Glamour Wash diaper detergent, sent me several packages of her phosphate-free detergent to test on my stash, which has already been pampered with Allen’s Naturally and Rockin’ Green. I knew right away I would enjoy the test, because “Zippity Doo Dah” scent is citrus–my favorite! The other scents are great, too, but I just can never get enough tangerine. Yum.
One heaping tablespoon of Zippity Doo Dah worked great in my HE washer (any more and I could smell the detergent on the clean diapers, which meant I had used too much for it to rinse out completely), but it was really the unscented hard water formula that won me over. One tablespoon in my HE washer was enough to completely rid my diapers of stink. I guess I hadn’t realized that they had a slight smell until I sniffed them after going through the wash with Lulu’s hard water formula. They didn’t smell like anything at all–nada! Happy mama.
I have never tried any other hard water detergent formula, so I think I just discovered my water is a little harder than I thought it was. Now, diapering perfection every time!
Lulu’s Glamour Wash comes in unscented (Naked Booty) or three scents: Zippity Doo Dah, Dimpled Booty (a sort of floral linen scent), and Lavender Vanilla. The Hard Water formula only comes in unscented for the moment, but I’m hoping it will come in citrus or melon scents soon so I can get the best formula for my water with my favorite scent. Prices vary by retailer but are available on Lulu’s website for $10.95 for the regular formula and $11.95 for the hard water version, and 8-load sample bags are available for $2.95, which is a great size for testing a new detergent.
