Do you ever wish your pail were a little fresher? I do, but only recently did I get around to doing something about it. I knew I could buy a Rockin’ Green pail freshener sprinkle bottle for $12, but as you know, I didn’t even pay $12 for a full year’s supply of homemade cloth wipe solution ingredients, so that’s not going to happen (sorry, Kim. Love you and love your products!).
I did the next best thing:
1) I took an empty spice jar with a shaker top.
2) I took the “Basil” label off (it looks so much cooler without it, and so much less confusing for a sleepy hubby ).
3) I filled it with some Rockin’ Green powder detergent.
You could fill your pail freshener bottle with any powder detergent, especially scented ones such as Rockin’ Green and Lulu’s in the Fluff Glamour Wash, or you could just fill it with baking soda, which neutralizes odors very well and will give your laundry a little boost–or a mix of detergent and baking soda.
That’s it! Very simple. If I had extra time (ha ha) I would label it “Kryptonite for Krappies” or something and take a picture of it.
How do you freshen your pail? I know my pail liner has a little fabric swatch I can dab with essential oil to do the same thing, but that’s also never going to happen.
