So, here is our panel of fluffy experts. :) Welcome!

Hope Ford of The Life of a Daydreaming Mommy

I am a SAHM of a bubbly little 4-month-old boy. I love staying home with him. :) I’ve been married for 3 years to my wonderful hubby who lights up my life.  I enjoy being outside, doing crafts, reading as much as I can, writing, and CLOTH DIAPERS–they are my new hobby! My website is about things I encounter in mommyhood, and the things I randomly think about while at home with my little guy. I talk about cloth diapers, products, life, my faith, lots of things, but all focused around being a mom.

I’ve only been using cloth for a month, but today the funniest thing happened to me: I took my little guy in to be changed and when I turned around to grab a prefold he had started peeing, so I used the new prefold to stop it.  So, that wasted that prefold, and I turned around to get another one. When I looked back he was peeing again, lol, so my instinct was to just use the new prefold to stop it!  Ahhh… so this continued to happen for two more times! Finally, I just got the prefold on him and put a cover on and decided he was good. :)  I swear he does it on purpose….

Kari Williams from Adventures of Granola Mom

I am Kari Williams, a fulltime WOH, cloth diapering, bfeeding, homemade babyfood making mother to the coolest 14-month-old daughter imaginable. I am the author of the new blog Adventures of Granola Mom. I live in North Dakota, where our resources for “alternative/natural” parenting options are VERY limited. I have started my blog to talk about our journey and hopefully help demonstrate that modern cloth diapering and making other, more natural choices in parenting is very doable, even in the middle of ND.

The funniest/most noteworthy thing that has happend to me on our cloth diaper adventure was very early on. I received my first pack of fluff in the mail (Grobaby AI2s). They were SO adorable and I was SO excited to get them on my little L’s booty that I only prepped the soakers for 2 washes (3-4 is recommended and peak absorbency is reached after 8-10). We were getting ready to go out to eat with some friends and I was ready for this adventure so off went the sposie and on went the fluff. I had L sitting on my lap, chatting away…. I even just dressed her in a matching shirt and babylegs to show off her cute little fluffy butt. Thirty minutes into dinner, I felt something cool on my lap. L’s diaper had leaked (due to my lack of prep work) and I was the one who ended up looking like I had peed my pants. Lesson learned: while I am not very patient when it comes to prepping, I now prep like a madwoman.

Editor’s Note: Adventures of a Granola Mom is hosting a giveaway right now of a $20 gift card to Sugar Dipes online store (ends 8/31).

Tara of Sew and Tell by Tara

My name is Tara and I am a cloth diapering SAHM to my 7 1/2-month-old daughter. I started my website to document my sewing projects, but my obsession–I like to call it passion–for all things cloth diapering took over!

My grandma wins the award for memorable cloth diapering moment. When she watched me change my daughter’s diaper, a prefold with a Snappi and cover, she could not get over the “bungee-cord” type contraption. That’s all she could talk about with family and friends and at her church. Everywhere I went with her I had to show her friends how this “bungee-cord” shaped like a Y worked! She could not get over the fact that you no longer needed to use diaper pins!

Lyndsay of Ruby Moon Laundry

My name is Lyndsay and I am the owner of Ruby Moon Natural Laundry Wash and Cloth Diaper Detergent. When I am not at my day job and or being a mom to little Ruby Grace, you can find me talking with folks about their laundry woes and how to cure those stinky diapers! I am passionate about safe, eco-friendly products that are good for you and the earth. Come check us out!

The craziest thing someone ever said to me about cloth diapers: An acquaintance was being very pushy and rude about the fact that we cloth diapered. He asked, “Well, where do you put the poop? That’s disgusting.”

I replied, “Where do you put YOUR poop?…. Did you really think I just tossed a week’s worth of poo into the washing machine?”

He didn’t bother me again.

Do you have a cloth diaper-related or green parenting blog to share with the rest of us? If so, please enter your information and a link in comments. Thanks for participating in this blog hop! I have a few more blogs to share with you again soon, so stay tuned for another blog hop coming up.

My name is Sarah and my blog is Mama to a Sweet Thing my blog is http://mamatoasweetthing.blogspot.com/
I talk about a lot of stuff!, Mommyhood, my husband, becoming ‘green’, cloth diapers which i am addicted to, and anything else that strikes me.
The craziest thing anyone said to me about cloth was before I had even tried cloth diapers, I was telling my MIL about them and she told me how ridiculous I was being for saying that using cloth is easier than it used to be, she told me there is no plastic in disposables (LOL). The list goes on. She seems to be on board with cloth now so I think I got through to her that cloth is easy, fun, better for the environment and SUPER cute!
Hope you’ll come check out my blog, I will be doing some great giveaways in the near future so follow me and keep an eye out!

Funniest Cloth Story- Recently my 16 month old daughter has figured out how to undo every velcro diaper we have. THis morning I was in a hurry working on orders, of course all our snap diapers are dirty and she keeps pulls the diaper off. I looked around, saw the roll of Priority mail tape, did a few passes around the diaper and called it a day! My oldest who’s 4 kept telling me how silly his sister looked!

Hi my name is Julie and I am a new clother diapering mom. My blog has a weekly cloth diaper feature on Fridays! You can read about my adventures in cloth at http://ayearwithmomanddad.blogspot.com each Friday.
The funniest thing someone ever said to me about cloth diapering is that they were “afraid to change your baby’s diapers b/c they might mess up your cloth diapers.” To which I said, “well, usually the diaper is already messsed so no need to worry!” :)

Hi My name is Kristina and I recently became a stay at home mom to my two boys who are almost 2 and just 4 months. We started cloth diapering when our second was born and haven’t turned back! We love everything about cloth. Shortly after starting cloth diapering I start up a blog called Cloth Diaper Addiction and love to learn about others experiences with cloth. You can find my log at http://www.clothdiaperaddiction.com I love to do giveaways and reviews on my blog so that others can learn more about cloth!

After my sister watched my toddler for a day, and him having three bad poopies that she ended up having to spray with the hose, she declared that she would never do cloth diapers! Well, she is half way there and building up her stash!
I love getting people to ‘convert’ to cloth!

Hi! My name is Sarah and I am a stay-at-home mommy to my 9 month old little boy, Michael. He is a wonderfully active, energetic, expressive and smiley little guy. When he smiles, his whole being smiles…it just makes my day when he is laughing and smiling! My blog is The Little Hedgehog blog- it’s pretty new and I’m still getting the hang of blogging, but I’m enjoying it!

My funny cloth diapering story is from a few months ago. I got my very first Fuzzibunz and I only briefly skimmed over the directions. Well, what I failed to pay attention to was the adjustable elastic sizing! The diaper came pre-set on one of the smaller settings and by this time my son was in a medium setting. Lets just say, he looked ridiculous as I tried to force this diaper on him! I knew there had to be something I was doing wrong! I then went to their website and thoroughly read the directions and went, “Ooooh… that’s what I did wrong…sorry little man!”

The funniest thing that has ever happened to us with cloth diapering: When Spring came I was so excited to finally be able to hang my cloth diapers and a accessories. Daddy hung new cotton clothes line between two tree
s and it worked great for a few weeks. I went out one morning and noticed it was down. It turned out that a Red Squirrel had gnawed at it little by little until it chewed it although through. I guess it didn’t like them in it’s tree line, hahah.

My name is Christy, I’m the mommy blogger behind http://home-mom.com. I stay, cook, teach, sew, and birth at home. I’ve just attempted to make my first fitted diaper but it wasn’t really all that funny, more frustrating but I’m super proud of myself for getting through it.

The funniest thing to me is the fact that I hose our diapers off in our flower garden. I wish I had a diaper sprayer but since I don’t the hose will suffice. I’m just waiting for a neighbor to see me and ask me what I’m doing and I’ll say, “oh just fertilizing my flowers”.

  9. August 27, 2010 at 9:19 pm #

Lol! That’s not a bad idea. My flowers need fertilizer anyway….

Possibly the biggest indicator I’ve had that I’m slightly addicted to cloth, was when my city recently experienced a 7.1 earthquake – after I had made sure those near & dear to me were safe, I got upset that I’d not be able to use cloth, due to the fact our power & water were knocked out! The 1 day I had to use dispoables for, was torture! Needless to say, it was like Christmas when I was able to put the little ones little booty in cloth again!
