I love it when I get to review a product that is not only high quality but also a boon to my own stash! Molly, the owner of my local diaper boutique The Little Seedling, recently agreed to sponsor this great review and giveaway for a Kissaluvs Marvels diaper cover, and I’m so glad. You all know I love using diaper covers and prefolds, and I have tried so many brands that I definitely have developed favorites. But Marvels covers are a little pricier than the other covers I have bought in the past, so I never got around to trying them.
The verdict? Awesome! Baby girl recently lost some weight due to being sick, so I was a little concerned we would have gapping at her tiny waist. But the diaper fit very snugly even though the snaps are arranged horizontally instead of vertically (vertical snaps would allow me to independently adjust the leg and hip snap settings for a custom fit). And the double leg gussets fit very nicely around her legs without leaving marks.
Marvels covers are comparable to Thirsties Duo Wraps with snaps–only slightly thicker material, similar shape and rise snaps, and double leg gussets–but Marvels allow you to overlap the waist snaps in front, which means they should fit smaller babies, or at least babies with smaller waists. If Thirsties fits your baby well, or if it fits well at the legs but is a little big around the waist, you will love the fit of these covers.
One last thing: Molly shipped this cover to me using biodegradable, eco-friendly packaging. Hooray! I’m going to stick the envelope in my compost to test if they really do decompose as promised. This is the store I’m always raving about because of their special events, Facebook sales and newsletter coupons, so it’s nice to know they’re making shipping cool too.
