Can we all just take a moment and fawn over the contrast stitching and snaps on this squishy soft Sloomb Sustainable Babyish bamboo fitted diaper? It’s even cuter in person, let me tell you. I’m generally not a fitted diaper kind of girl, but I really enjoyed testing this diaper, because it just felt so luxurious to snap onto baby girl’s sensitive bum, especially lately since she’s been dealing with some diaper rash.
All good fitted diapers will give you great absorbency and superior leak protection, because they have leg gussets and a ton of super absorbent fabric up against baby’s bum, Some are better than others, though, and here’s where you separate the good from the great.
Snaps: Not only are this diaper’s snaps pink (swoon), but there are three of them on each side, plus they are able to overlap at the waist. This means a snug, secure, curious-toddler-proof fit and a more adjustable waist to fit smaller babies. Baby girl’s waist has always been small, despite her super chunk thighs, so I really appreciate an overlapping waist snap to give us a good fit.
Materials: Some fitted diapers get slightly scratchy feeling after a few washes (Pooters and basic Kissaluvs come to mind) but this diaper is SO soft you’ll want to snuggle it like a blanky (please wash it first, or that counts as a fetish). Bamboo is just FABULOUS material for diapers, because it is luxuriously soft and also quite absorbent. Bamboo is also naturally anti-microbial, which is pretty rad in a diaper.
Inserts: The best fitted diapers have inserts that are several layers thick but are sewn together in a loop or only sewn at one end so you can get them dry quickly in the dryer. The best fitted inserts also snap into the diaper so you don’t have to wiggle them around as you put the diaper on baby to make sure they’re positioned right. This Sustainable Babyish diaper does both things: the double insert is sewn at one end for quick drying, and it snaps into the diaper only at one end, which makes it fit snugly in the diaper but doesn’t make it too difficult to get it out if need be. Snaps are also pink inside the diaper (swoon again).
