What a ride! It’s Christmas Eve, and that means we have come to the grand prize giveaway of the 29 Diapers’ 29 Days of Christmas giveaway event. One of you lucky ducks will be opening a very special email tomorrow, informing you that you have won the grand prize Christmas present from 29 Diapers to put under your tree: an autographed copy of my book Ecofrugal Baby: How To Save 70% Off Baby’s First Year, a 3-pack of Happy Heinys pocket diapers, a pack of Bummas cloth wipes, an Itzy Ritzy wet bag, Zoe Organics diaper balm, a gallon of Allen’s Naturally detergent from The Little Seedling boutique, a Weleda baby toiletries starter kit, Episencial wash, soothing cream, and face balm to pamper both mom and baby, AND 2 Thirsties Duo Wrap diaper covers with 4 Duo Hemp Prefolds–that’s a $285 value!
You guys have been great. Thank you for entering all these giveaways and showing 29 Diapers your support. I also want to thank our great sponsors: Nifty Nappy, Sloomb/SustainableBabyish, Itzy Ritzy, Leslie’s Boutique, Thirsties, Bummas, Rockin’ Green, Zoe Organics, Rebourne, Crunchy Angel boutique, EcoMom, Weleda, Pure Clean B, The Little Seedling boutique, Annie’s Organics, Diaper Parties by Everything Birth, Babyxpress and Episencial. None of this historic giveaway event would have been possible without them. Please show them some love and tell them you saw their great giveaways on 29 Diapers!
Yesterday’s winner of the Nifty Nappy organic fitted diaper was Stacy V.! Congrats, Stacy! Please contact me within 72 hours to claim your prize.
DAY 29: Santa’s Whole Sleigh…
Would you like to win the Christmas present mentioned above? This amazing prize pack includes several products you’re already familiar with, plus a few new ones. The new items include Zoe Organics Diaper Balm and Weleda’s starter kit of baby toiletries. Both companies sent me samples for testing, and they came just in time for colder weather here in Michigan. Thanks goodness! The Zoe Organics diaper balm comes in a generously sized pot and is smooth with a texture between that of an olive oil-based balm and a beeswax-based balm, and that’s because it’s a combination of sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax. It went on smoothly to ease some diaper rash baby girl was fighting. It doesn’t stick as well as some zinc-oxide creams but is fantastic as a daily balm to prevent rashes.
The Weleda baby starter kit includes calendula lotion, calendula baby cream, calendula shampoo/body wash, calendula baby oil, and calendula diaper cream (which I’ve already told you about). Are you sensing a theme here?
All these products are very lightly scented or unscented and are super concentrated to moisturize baby’s skin (or your skin!).
We tried the shampoo/body wash first, and it worked about the same way as most non-toxic shampoos–less suds than a traditional shampoo because it has no harsh detergents or chemicals. It wasn’t as moisturizing as the Episencial shampoo/body wash we tried, but it washed baby’s hair just as well and would be great for babies with average hair.
The lotion, baby oil, and baby cream were all formulated to moisturize sensitive skin, and I used them mostly on my own skin, since it has been dry with the colder weather and is prone to little patches of excema when I wash my hands multiple times per day, for example. The oil is obviously the richest moisture and good for hands, feet, or elbows. The lotion is much thinner, so you might be more likely to use that on baby’s skin. I particularly liked the baby cream, though, which is right in the middle–almost like a gentle lanolin. It absorbed right into my skin but left a good barrier to protect my skin from getting more irritated. Baby girl had a big rash on her back recently, and this would have been exactly the product to treat that.
Now, how would you like to win ALL of the prizes in the 29 Diapers’ 29 Days of Christmas grand prize Christmas Present?
To enter this giveaway:
Show some love to our grand prize giveaway sponsors on their Facebook pages (29 Diapers, Happy Heinys, Bummas, Itzy Ritzy, Zoe Organics, The Little Seedling, Weleda, Episencial, and Thirsties). Then subscribe to 29 Diapers emails (at the bottom of this post) and leave ONE comment on this blog post telling me your email address and your favorite tip from my book Ecofrugal Baby: How To Save 70% Off Baby’s First Year. (Hint: You can click the Surprise Me! link on the Search Inside feature to be taken to new pages inside the book.)
* This giveaway is open to U.S. and Canadian residents. Most, but not all, of our sponsors are willing to ship to Canada, so if I pick a Canadian winner of this giveaway, several items from the prize pack (the detergent, Happy Heinys diapers, and Episencial products) will go to a second American winner. *
This giveaway will run through midnight tonight, so check back tomorrow on Christmas Day to see who won! Merry Christmas, green mamas, and thank you for making this event such a success!

Nurse her, then hit the sack before Santa comes.
Now I have to exclaim ‘fore I log out, alright
Good luck to all and THANKS LAURA, tonight!

Merry Christmas Eve! I am all signed up for your newsletter – think. I got a weird message that said “no such email is registered” when I clicked the confirm subscription link in my email. I hope it worked! All sponsors have been well loved!! My favorite tidbits from your book are basically all of the clothing tips and tricks. I love the wearing sleepers all day idea. I also love your discussion on what baby really needs clothing-wise. Your Lady Gaga comment is priceless. I have been toddler clothes shopping with all of your tips in mind!
Thank you so much for hosting such wonderful giveaways for the past 29 days! I know that this takes a lot of time and energy on your part. The exposure that you have provided to all of your sponsors is priceless. I hope that a lot of business comes their way, especially during such tough economic times. I personally have found some great new companies because of your giveaways! So, thank you! And thank you to each and every sponsor for participating. What a great prize to win tonight! Fingers crossed!

I like all the sponsors, and I thanked them for the giveaways.
I am subscribed for emails (rmwandmaw AT hotmail DOT com).
My favorite tip from your book is to call manufacturers and ask for samples, especially for items you don’t use very much of (like Lansinoh).
Thank you for organizing these giveaways! It’s been a lot of fun!
