Would You Buy a Book on Modern Cloth Diapers?

Thirsties Duo Diaper, cloth diapers, diaper leg gussets, adjustable diapers, cloth diaper book, how modern cloth diapers work, how cloth diapers work, save money on cloth diapers, green baby on a budget, EcoFrugal Baby, Laura K. Cowan, 29 DiapersI’m still working to get out the next edition of EcoFrugal Baby: How To Save 70% Off Baby’s First Year, a project that has to wait until after the upcoming website redesign (grin). I’m a busy girl. Did I mention I also just started as the Transportation Editor for Inhabitat? But in all that I got to thinking that it might be useful to have an e-book that explained a lot of what this site is about–how modern cloth diapers work–in one place.

What do you think? Would you be interested in such a book for yourself or as a gift for a friend? Would you prefer paperback? What information would you be looking for in addition to the basics? I think once the new book and site are done I could push this out relatively quickly (famous last words).

Let me know in comments! Thanks as always for supporting 29 Diapers. I’m starting to hear in public that people have heard of 29 Diapers, which is a gratifying development. You’re the best!

I would welcome the chance to have something in hand to show family and friends about cloth diapers.

I would have totally bought a paperback version on this subject when I was just starting out learning about cloth. If I knew of a soon to be mommy I would consider gifting this to her for a shower present too, in the hopes of converting another person to cloth. Definitely a good idea :)

I think Kelly Wells may have beat you to the punch on that one. =) http://store.kellywels.com/Changing-Diapers-A-Hip-Moms-Guide-to-Modern-Cloth-Diapering_p_4.html

I think it would be phenomenal to have this book, and have it in paperback. When I was researching, I definitely got overwhelmed by the amount of electronic information I had about cloth diapers, and wished I just had something in hand to reference. ESPECIALLY when going in to the store to make a purchase.

It would also be such a nice gift to give to a newly pregnant mom who was considering cloth – a nice collection of information without the investment of spending hours online researching.

I would most definitely purchase something like this. The market really needs it. When I try to explain modern cloth diapering to non-tech savy people – like my mom who changes the baby when the hubby and I are away – this kind of thing would be hugely useful. Also, great to take to baby showers.

Paper versus hardback. Just something with lots of photos and diagrams.

    Hi Trisha,
Yes, I know, but I know from personal experience that Kelly only promotes the diapers that she sells, so I think I could do better than that and offer an independent source of info.

I think it’s an awesome idea and I’d get one! Paperback though because they are MUCH cheaper than hardbacks!

P.S. I’m still not getting your emails even with adding your addie directly to my contact book! I tried unsubscribing and then was gonna subscribe again but it won’t let me unsubscribe since I’m not getting the unsubscribe email! ROFL

YES, I think it would be very helpful! I wouldn’t buy it for myself but would buy it for others or recommend to others. I’ve done plenty of research myself, so I don’t need it. It could be like the baby bargain book – information about how -to and what the different products are, but also prices, where to buy, etc. A great resource all in one place! Great idea!

I would love this. And definitely in paperback. Would love to have a resource constantly at my disposal.
