Thirsties Duo Diaper with Snaps Review
Thirsties, one of my favorite cloth diaper companies, has finally released their Duo Diaper in snaps! And not only that–have you seen the new Hoot print? I love it. Honestly, what did mamas do before baby products came in mod owl print? We tried one of these new snap Duo Diapers for this review and loved it. The absorbency doesn’t last as long as it did when baby girl was younger (she’s potty training now), but the Duo Diaper still offers good leak protection and a great fit. I was told early on in my cloth diapering adventure that Thirsties snap diapers probably wouldn’t fit baby girl very well because they have one set of horizontal snaps instead of two lines of snaps that can be adjusted differently at the waist and hips. For some brands this turned out to be good advice, but I think the double leg gussets on the Thirsties diapers are what allow them to fit so many different baby body types. Big thighs and tiny waist works just fine in Aplix or Snaps on Thirsties diapers. The only thing I’m not sure of is how a print with a white background is going to look after it has been washed repeatedly. My Duo cover with white background still looks fine, but it hasn’t been through a lot yet. Time will tell. Either way, the snaps are super durable, and next time we cloth diaper, I’m heading straight for Thirsties snap PUL products before anything else.
