The Eventual Farmer Reusable Gift Bags Review

My friend Keri Middaugh is big on crafting, and she’s brilliant at it. But she throws an extra challenge in for herself. It’s important to Keri not to create extra waste with food packaging, gift wrap, or throwing away household items that could be repurposed. And just like that, her cottage industry company The Eventual Farmer was born. Keri sells fabric gift bags, snack packs, cloth diaper-friendly detergent in repurposed containers–all things eco-friendly and upcycled. For this event, Keri gave me the chance to try her new upcycled fabric gift bags, which are sewn with sturdy French seams for durability and come with attached ribbons for easy closure. The set of three gift bags she sent me were green paisley on green, which is lovely for any purpose and also works for the holidays. I immediately put three gifts I had saved for the holidays in these bags, and just like that, we were ready for gifting.

I love how these fabric bags are washable, reusable, and stylish looking. I’m big on cutting down on stress during the holidays so I can enjoy it with family, and these bags cut short my gift wrapping time. If you’ve ever wrapped presents while a toddler pulled the tape out of the dispenser and ran around the room, you’ll appreciate the efficiency and style of these bags. No sharp scissors, tempting sticky tape, or slow-moving mamas to frustrate a tot here. Best of all, Keri’s bags are very affordable, because (you guessed it) she often repurposes cloth she already has to sew these bags for you. I’m already first in line to purchase more of these bags as soon as Keri can catch her breath from the demands of selling her products at the local Ypsilanti farmers market and food co-op. If you would like to purchase these bags, drop her a line on her Facebook page. Her business is growing quickly, and soon she may have an online shop. Maybe you can convince her to set one up! ;)
