I love wet bags, those awesome waterproof and washable bags you can use for cloth diapers and wet swimsuits on the go, for so many reasons. It’s hard to find a product this versatile for families, period. And they come in so many adorable styles and useful sizes. We have had two or three wet bags in rotation at our house since we started cloth diapering baby girl nearly 3 years ago (yeah, it is about time we got this kid potty trained, but that’s another post).
BABY by Danish is a new line of wet bags that just came out on the market, and the brand’s creator Rachel Danish offered to let me try one and report back to you on its awesomeness, as well as give one of you lucky readers a chance to try one yourself.
BABY by Danish Wet Bag Review
Wet bags are pretty simple things: cloth print outside layer, waterproof washable inner lining But BABY by Danish has an extra-heavy PVC-free vinyl lining inside the bag that is much thicker than any of my other wet bag liners. Will this hold up over time? I’ll have to let you know if it’s better or worse than PUL lining you usually see in wet bags after we have put it through the paces long term. Does it work now? Yes, no wicking or leaking here, though I wish it contained smells a teensy bit better. But that’s about the same across all my wet bags. Super stinkies have a way of getting out around the corners.
The cotton duck outer layer on this line of wet bags is also heavier duty than the cotton or polyester on my other bags. I love the texture of this fabric, as well as the organic cotton textured handle. Handles with a snap are a must on a wet bag, by the way, for snapping your bag onto a stroller or purse handle on the go. The best part about these bags by far is their style. I have never seen another line of wet bags where I liked every single print in the product line, but that’s totally the case here. Of course they had me at Earthy Owls (pictured here), but they also have green damask, pink elephants, and black and white variations on the owl and damask prints. Love them! It also doesn’t hurt my feelings that my Earthy Owls bag with the orange polka dot fabric on the bottom has a matching orange zipper. These bags are fabulous all around, and obviously made to last.
