It’s back to school time, and the weather is finally turning cool here in Michigan, where we had a whopping 5 months of summer this year due to the drought and heat waves. We lined up a Pediped kids shoe review to give you all a few more ideas for great shoes for fall, winter, and spring, since Pediped is not only one of the few companies that offers a line of sturdy shoes with flexible soles up through the preschooler years, but also just developed a line of athletic shoes for small children. We checked out some of their athletic-looking girls’ shoes, which are a combo Mary Jane velcro and athletic running shoe style. I was delighted to discover that they are machine washable! They are also well-made, and with a flexible sole that’s plenty hard enough to keep rocks on the playground from bumping Baby Girl’s feet. Just perfect. These particular shoes also have vents in the sides, so I think she’ll wear them in the spring when she grows into them a bit and when it’s heating up, possibly for another whopper of a summer here in the who-unplugged-the-freezer North.

Baby Girl kept opening the box, putting her shoes on, and then wrapping it all up in the star paper so she could do it all over again and saying, “My present!”
