The 29 Diapers Diaper Fit Guide
Check it out, 29Diapers readers! The Intertubes’ first cloth diaper fit guide that tells you which diapers to buy according to your baby’s body type! This chart is based on my experience and on the general consensus of mothers regarding the fit of certain brands. I need your help to fill out this chart, so please leave me a comment telling me how your diapers fit your chunky monkeys and skinny minnies, and I’ll add them to the list. If Your Baby Has Equally Pudgy Thighs and Waist: You may like diapers with moderately sized leg holes and a wide waistband.
If Your Baby Has Fat Thighs and a Skinny Waist: Diapers recommended for fat thighs and a skinny waist have waistbands and leg holes that can be adjusted independently, such as diapers with an aplix-fastened waistband and leg holes with gussets that accommodate large thighs, a Fuzzibunz pocket that uses separately adjusted elastic at the waist and legs to give you a custom fit, or double rows of snaps at the waist you can fasten at an angle for a slimmer fit at the waist.
If Your Baby Has Skinny Legs: I don’t have much experience with diapering a thin baby (except when baby girl was first born), so you tell me if I need to add another column for thin thighs and a pudgy waist. For now I have just put diapers in this category that have smaller leg holes or a waistband that bunches if used with pudgy thighs, and diapers with only one row of snaps at the waist, which fit thinner babies better.
