I have tested my first laundry detergent recipe, and I seem to have lucked out and found an easy to make laundry detergent that cleans well and leaves clothes and cloth diapers fresh. I’m thinking of this like buying the first dress you try on in a store. If you like it, just buy it. You can try on all the other dresses and none of them will fit like the first.

So, how do you make homemade laundry detergent?

If you don’t care to do origami every time you fold a diaper, there is a simpler option for folding flat diapers: the kite fold. I noticed that this fold required a little more tucking around the legs to make it snug, but it works great, just like the origami fold. Here is the Kite Fold

I’ve made it far enough in my flat diapers experiment to figure out folding techniques, yay! Baby girl and Pinky the Elephant obliged for some photos for you all, so here they are.
